Responsibilities :

• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Writing code and building efficient PHP modules.
• Developing back-end portals with an optimized database.
• Conducting analysis of website and application requirements.
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.
• Integrating data storage solutions.
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior and MVC design in PHP
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Advanced development knowledge of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap and CSS3.
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.
• knowledge on Python and related frameworks like Django will be an added advantage
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

Skills and Experience :

• Strong knowledge of any PHP web frameworks
• Understanding of MVC design patterns, OOPS concepts
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Writing code and building efficient PHP modules.
• Integrating data storage solutions

Core Competencies :

• Performed PHP programming and MySQL database administration.
• Designed and maintained internal products using PHP/MySQL/ HTML/ XML/ CSS/ JavaScript/ JQuery and other web technologies.
• Implemented various Validation Controls for form validation and implemented custom validation controls using JQuery.
• Used GIT for version controlling and maintaining the application source code.

Nice to have skills/experience includes :

• Building micro services using Spring boot
• Knowledgeable in, REST/SOAP Web Services
• Experience working with payment gateways
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API gateway, SES and other services
• Developing server side REST API using PHP  
• Experience with third party integration
